How to set up PiShock on TikTok LIVE
A step-by-step guide to connecting PiShock to TikTok gifts, so viewers can shock, vibrate or beep you live. About 5 minutes, one app.
Updated · StreamerControl 3.6.9
What you need
- A PiShock hub and at least one shocker, set up and online in your PiShock account.
- Your PiShock username and API key (from the Account section at pishock.com).
- A Windows 10 or 11 PC (64-bit).
- A TikTok account that can go LIVE.
Step-by-step: PiShock to TikTok gifts
- Download and install StreamerControl. Grab the free installer from the download page and run it. Everything is bundled — no Node.js, TikFinity or Streamer.bot to install.
- Add your PiShock account. Open the PiShock page, enter your PiShock username and API key, and connect. Your shockers appear automatically, and the app opens a persistent connection to PiShock's WebSocket broker for fast commands.
- Set your safety limits first. Choose a global max intensity and max duration, and learn the panic hotkey (Ctrl+Shift+P). These caps apply to every gift, game and trigger.
- Test your shocker. Send a beep, then a low vibrate, from inside the app to confirm the device responds.
- Connect to your TikTok LIVE. Enter your TikTok username and press Connect while you're live. Chat, gifts and likes start flowing into the dashboard.
- Map gifts to PiShock actions. On the Gifts page, pick a gift from the catalogue and choose shock, vibrate or beep, then set intensity, duration, cooldown and which shocker it targets. Start with cheap gifts on vibrate.
- Add an overlay (optional). Copy the Recent Shocks overlay URL into OBS or TikTok LIVE Studio as a browser/link source, so viewers see who triggered what.
- Tell your viewers the menu. Pin a comment or use the TikFinity carousel overlay listing which gift does what — clear menus sell gifts.
Tips for a better PiShock TikTok stream
- Tier your gifts: beep for Roses, vibrate for small gifts, shocks for bigger ones. A clear ladder encourages bigger gifts.
- Use cooldowns so a gift spam turns into a steady rhythm instead of a pile-up.
- Add a game: Russian Roulette and Wheel Spin give viewers a gamble, which keeps them gifting.
- Use like triggers so viewers who don't gift can still take part.
Troubleshooting & FAQ
Where do I find my PiShock API key?
Log in at pishock.com and open your Account section. Generate an API key there and paste it, with your PiShock username, into StreamerControl. The key is encrypted on your PC with Windows DPAPI and never stored in plain text.
Why isn't my PiShock firing when I get a gift?
Check four things: the app says Connected to TikTok, the PiShock status is connected, the gift is actually mapped (and not on cooldown), and the mapping's intensity isn't above your global max. The live feed in the app shows every gift as it arrives, which makes this quick to spot.
Do I have to be live to test?
You need to be live for TikTok gifts to arrive, but you can test every PiShock mapping from inside the app at any time — start with beep.
Can I add the overlay to TikTok LIVE Studio?
Yes. Copy the overlay URL from the app and add it as a Link/Browser source in TikTok LIVE Studio, OBS or Streamlabs.
Do I need TikFinity or Streamer.bot?
No. StreamerControl connects to your TikTok LIVE and to PiShock by itself, so there is no TikFinity → Streamer.bot → plugin chain to set up. If you already use TikFinity for alerts, you can keep it and even show your TikFinity Actions & Events in a StreamerControl overlay.
