Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how StreamerControl ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information. We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to provide the Service. This may include:

• Discord account information — when you link Discord, we receive your Discord user ID, username, avatar and your roles in our server, which we use to determine your access tier;
• Licence & usage data — a licence token, your plan/tier, and basic technical/diagnostic information needed to operate and support the Service;
• Billing information — if you subscribe, our payment provider processes your payment. We receive limited details such as your name, email, country, and subscription status. We do not collect or store your full card number;
• Support communications — information you provide when you contact us; and
• Website data — standard server logs and any analytics described in section 7.

Much of what the app processes from TikTok LIVE (such as chat, gifts and viewer counts) is handled locally on your device to drive actions in real time and is not sent to us.

2. How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you (for example, when you link Discord, subscribe, or contact us) and from the third-party services you choose to connect, such as Discord (via OAuth) and our payment provider.

3. Why we use it

We use personal information to: provide, maintain and improve the Service; verify your access tier and licence; process payments and manage subscriptions; provide support; communicate service and account information; protect against fraud, misuse and security risks; and comply with our legal obligations.

4. Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose it to: service providers who help us operate the Service (such as hosting, payment processing and communications providers); Discord, as part of the linking and role-verification process you initiate; and to authorities or others where required or permitted by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public.

5. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers (for example, Discord and our payment provider) are located, or store data, outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.

6. Payments

Payments are processed by our third-party membership platform, Patreon, under their own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. We receive confirmation of payment and limited subscription information needed to manage your plan.

7. Cookies & the website

Our website may use essential cookies and standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to operate securely and reliably. If we use analytics, we will use it to understand aggregate usage and improve the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including encryption in transit, restricting access, and storing sensitive values securely. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes (such as billing records). When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

10. Access & correction

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity. You can also disconnect Discord and cancel your subscription at any time.

11. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

12. Children

The Service is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will be notified by reasonable means.
